In this podcast of our Purple Haze Archive Classic Series we proudly present a tribute to undoubtedly one of the greatest of all bands to have originated from Los Angeles, Love. Arthur Lee & his band Love was the first rock band to sign with Elektra records, paving the way for future stars such as The Doors. Love’s influence was profound on superstar bands like Led Zeppelin & the Stone Roses. And Love’s Forever Changes album is generally regarded as one of the finest records ever made. This program originally broadcast in the year 2000 with special guest co-host, rock author, Ian D Marks (Tomorrow Is Today published by Wakefield Press).
