The accredited and authorised Theatre Reviewer for Southern FM 88.3, Maartje has been broadcasting for over 18 years and reviewing theatre for 20 years. As an internationally reconised Criminologist and Mediator she has worked for several Governments and the United Nations. As the author of many research projects into criminology she has appeared before dozens of Parliamentary Committees and contributed to serious changes in Criminal and Family Law.At present she has just completed a work of fiction based on 29 years in the Family Court which will be published shortly.
Her love of the theatre stems back to childhood when at 6 years of age she was taken to a pantomime and the love of live theatre has remained to this day.
She wishes everyone happy times at live theatre and reviews them, both in print and on her show.
