“Live” in the Studio Wednesday 15th Feb at 8:10 – Introducing Jessica Jade Bruce

A little about Jessica….

I want my music to be your favorite pair of blue jeans. I want it to be comfy. Perhaps that’s an artsy way of saying I want my CD to be the one that you put on regardless of where you are and how you’re feeling because you know you’re going to take something away from it no matter what’s going on in your life. What kind of music is it? That’s usually the number one question on everyone’s list for a singer/songwriter. My music is what you want to call it. I don’t like to label myself into a box. I want people to get a good feeling in their soul from these songs. Pop rock, Soul Pop…whatever you want to call it is okay with me. I just want it to make people feel good inside. I know that women like Sheryl Crow, Shania Twain, Alanis Morrisette and Adele made me want to sing. But I’m not really trying to be the next anyone. I’m just being the first me.

I’m a girl who grew up moving from home to home. And after I taught myself how to play guitar, I started playing shows around my hometown, Melbourne. When I was 16, I was fortunate to make it all the way to the top 100 in Australian idol. 2009 was a big year for me, I was chosen to be apart of the Tamworth Country Music College and Also became a Grand Finalist in the Telstra Road To Tamworth which was a massive buzz for me. I now perform regularly at festivals and competitions all around Australia, not just because of the music, but because I also love the people and the atmosphere. Making new friends from all over the country that share the same passion as I do.

I recently recorded my very first EP in Nashville with producers Matthew Fell and Sam Hawksley, It was an experience I never want to forget. And is an achievement I am most proud of. Whilst I was over in the States I went and watched one of my Idols, Adele in Concert and it was then I decided I was going to be a musician who played shows that gave people a chance to just ‘sit in my living room’ with me. To feel like they are part of my story, like I felt with 3,000 other people watching Adele on stage.

Jessica’s Debut EP Launch to be held at Revolver Upstairs, March 8th, 2012, we expect to see you there!

Just a sneak peak into what all the hype is about…you can hear all about it tomorrow on 88.3 Southern FM at 8:10am when we chat with Jessica-Jade Bruce “live” in the studio…don’t forget you can live stream it on the net.
