‘Songs of Protest: Blues, Booze & Broads’ – WE HAVE SPONSORSHIP !

Women in Blues‘ is proud to announce that Guitar Gallery has joined ‘Songs of Protest: Blues, Booze & Broads’ as its new major sponsor for the remainder of the 2013 season …

Support the professionals that support the enthusiasts !

Guitar Gallery is managed and owned by Gerry Hale. All staff at the shop are musicians, know all the instruments on their walls and can play most of them. All instruments are carefully chosen, well set-up and competitively priced.

Most of the staff teach various instruments, or can put you in touch with someone who does.

Guitar Gallery sells stringed instruments of all kinds, mostly acoustic, but they do have a select range of electric guitars and even a few things without strings at all … concertinas, flageolets, melodicas, jaws harp, kazoo and nose-flute spring to mind.

They stock guitars, of course, as well as banjos, mandolins, fiddles, ukuleles, charangos, autoharps, harps, dulcimers and double bass. There is even a koto in stock at the moment.

Gerry endeavours to stock a range of instruments that are exclusive to Guitar Gallery, or very nearly so. If you want a handmade uke by Scott Wise, a banjo or mandolin by Jaroslav Prucha or a banjo by Geoff Stelling this is the shop for you.

The shop is sometimes a a place where great and idiosyncratic musical minds meet, and Gerry encourages such collaborations. Check the website for some awesome videos of what happens when worlds collide in-store ! Or the next time you are in the vicinity of Johnston St, Fitzroy, drop in and tell Gerry that Kansas Kitty sent ya !
