Ska’d For Life – Debut Show!
Be sure to tune in for the debut of SKA’D FOR LIFE, the new Friday night Ska Show on 88.3 Southern FM.
Friday 17th June we will be showcasing a mixed bag of Ska over the generations, from its origins in Jamaica through to present day Ska-punk.
Each week thereafter we will feature a band that was influential to the Ska movement and give background information on their songs and history. For example, did you know that the popular Beatles song ‘Obladi, Oblada’ begins with ‘Desmond has a barrow in the market place’…? And that this is in reference to Ska legend Desmond Dekker? This and more, coming up on 88.3 Southern FM!
