Choice Cuts – Meet your host: Greg Neighbour

Greg has worked at 88.3 Southern FM since joining the station as a member in February 1999. He originally spent time at 3CR after leaving the Melbourne Radio School .

Greg now presents the History of Rock Music each week but remembers fondly presenting the graveyard shift on a Sunday morning before moving to Tuesday breakfast in late 1999 where he produced Choicecuts – The Morning Glory Edition. It was an Album orientated show later moving to Thursday nights in 2002.

Greg interviewed guests such Ross Wilson, Alice Platt, Eris O’Brien, Mike Brady, Ian Marks, Russell Morris, Ed Nimmervol, Kevin Hillier, Gavan Wood, Dave Miller, Rhett Bartlett, Nicky Bomba & enjoyed the company of many presenters from this station and other community stations.

Choicecuts became a History of Rock music program in 2005 where the year was spent travelling through time from 1927 to 1968. In 2006 he presented the sounds of 1968 to 1974. In 2007 the show focused on the late seventies. In 2008 & 2009 Greg featured the music of the eighties. Throughout 2010 it has been all the great music of the 90s. The noughties are just around the corner.

Greg’s favourite bands include The Beatles, REM, U2, Badloves, Black Crowes & The Stones.

He enjoys sixties television shows and spending time with Katrina and their children Natalie, Belinda, Michael, Nick & Tom and they all love to cheer on the mighty Tigers and Saints.

Tune in every week to hear some interesting trivia and great music and enjoy Greg’s choice of cuts from a particular year in time.
