Indian Voice of Fiji

Indian Voice of Fiji 6pm – 8pm Monday

Hear Indian Voice of Fiji every Monday evening from 6 to 8pm with Usha Sharma and Manju Narayan (previously Jaczina).

This is an entertainment and informative program especially targeting Indians from the Fiji Islands. We encourage talk back and participation from members of the community.

They bring news, views, stories for children, health report and information about festivals and cultural/religious activities current in the community. Indian Voice of Fiji brings latest news from Fiji, local weather report, recipes, health information, old and new songs and devotional songs of all religions.

Presenters: Usha Sharma, Commissioner with Victorian Multicultural Commission, recipient of Centenery Medal, Director of Atlite Skylights, president of Sangam Community Association and cultural coordinator of Australian indian Innovations Inc, AIII,which hosts Diwali Fair at Sandown Race course annually. Her interest in radio started off by accident, many years ago she joined another presenter and started “Humsafar”, the first Indian language program from Radio Casey. She also hosts “Radio Masti” on Sunday 8-10pm at 88.3 Southern FM.

Manju Jaczina/Narayan, started as children’s story reader on 88.3 FM. She had a passion for being a radio announcer and, in Fiji she used to get the women from the village together and host women’s program from her home.

She is also involved in many community organisations especially Kingston Indian Senior Citizen’s Association, KISCA. Recently she had a role in the first Indian film made in Melbourne.

Manju also hosts “Ek Nayi Subha” on Friday, 6 to 8am at 88.3 Southern FM.
