  • Hi Shirley,
Sorry for using the comment box, I was looking for an email address but couldn’t see one. I’m a member of Southern FM and on the committee of Sandbelt Toastmasters club in Beaumaris. My Toastmasters club is looking to raise awareness of our activities. We provide a public speaking training program for people of all levels. Quite a few writers go through our program, as it helps them find confidence to present their work. It also provides a platform for showcasing writing talent too. I’m wondering if you’d be interested in interviewing our president, Jean Jelley, to explain how Toastmasters can help people in all walks of life become better speakers? Regards – Matt Bounds

  • Dave Power (Caulfield Writers Group) says:

Hi Shirley Congratulations on the continuing success of your programme! I wonder if I may ask a small favour? The Caulfield Writers Group will be celebrating its 25th year in July. We have maintained our fortnightly Thursday evening meetings for the best part of those twenty five years and are now an integrated part of the Godfrey Street Community House programme of activities. We are inviting past members of our little band of scribblers to submit work for an anthology we are producing, and were wondering if you could give our group a mention on the show? AND (hopefully) we can track down more of our former members. Peter Lingard and Ivy D’Souza are manning the email box now so if you would like to submit a piece of work for the anthology, or even just a piece of memory for our collection it would be most welcome.
    Best regards

    Dave (Power)
