“Cosmos” Anniversary (revised)
The Space Show will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the 13-part television series “Cosmos” on two shows, Wednesdays October 7 and 21 (change from October 7 and 14) (7 to 8 pm). We will discuss the major themes of the series, and the associated music. It was the most widely watched PBS series in the world. It won two Emmys and a Peabody Award, and has since been broadcast in more than 60 countries and seen by over 500 million people.
The change is caused by the October 7 programme including the announcement of the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics, by by the decision to use the October 14 programme to preview the expected October 20 sampling of asteroid Bennu by the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft.
