Kennedy’s Final Space Year

This Wednesday, November 22, will be the 60th anniversary of the assassination of United States President Kennedy. The Space Show will mark the date by playing and interpreting the speeches he made about space during 1963, as well as the (at the time) secret White House recordings in which space was discussed. They provide a unique perspective on his doubts on the Apollo project and his advocacy for cooperation in space with the Soviet Union, as he had an eye on the forthcoming 1994 Presidential election.

Also on the show, the 5th anniversary of the InSight Mars lander, as told in poetry and song.

Please listen, Wednesday, 7 to 8 p.m. on 88.3 Southern FM.
