The Moorleigh Community Village Hour – first edition
On Tuesday 3 February 2026, Southern FM launched a new program during The Community Block.
Moorleigh Community Village Hour will be on air from 2 PM to 3 PM on the first Tuesday of each month. The first guest on the program was Glen Eira City Council’s Healthy & Active Ageing Officer Genene Hickey who gave an overview of Moorleigh Community Village.

Moorleigh Community Village is home to a range of not-for-profit community groups and multi-cultural senior community groups that meet in a warm and friendly environment. There’s also a Maternal and Child Health Service.
The village offers a wide range of educational, social and wellbeing activities for all ages and abilities.
Genene from the Life Stages team at Glen Eira Council is on site to facilitate the interaction between groups.

Moorleigh Community Village has rooms available for the general public to book to hold events.
You will find us at 92 Bignell Road, Bentleigh East. There is on site bicycle and public car parking.
