Country Joe & the Fish were one of the seminal bands of the 1960s ‘San Franciscan Sound’. Originating from Berkeley, California their folk, psychedelic pop rock, & protest songs defined a generation. Best known for perhaps the most famous (or infamous) anti-Vietnam War song of them all: The I-Feel-Like-I’m-Fixin’-To-Die Rag, which was immortalised at the renowned Woodstock Music Festival in 1969. Country Joe McDonald discusses his musical journey & continues his successful solo career to this day.
