Mike d’Abo had big shoes to fill as he was installed as the new lead singer of the hit making machine called Manfred Mann in the mid 1960’s to replace Paul Jones. However Mike d’Abo was a super success & continued the hits for Manfred Mann singing classics such as: The Mighty Quinn, Ha Ha Said the Clown, Fox on the Run, Just Like A Woman, My Name is Jack & many many more. Mike d’Abo also wrote or co-wrote such classic tunes as The Foundations’ Build Me Up Buttercup & Chris Farlowe’s Handbags & Gladrags.

Purple Haze is very saddened to hear of the death at 71 years of singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, etc. & all-round music legend: Jack Bruce. Jack Bruce was best known for being the bass player & lead singer of Cream but also had a fruitful solo career right up to 2014.
