This Friday we feature the amazing bands on this year’s stellar Ska Nation lineup – including The Resignators, The Furrows, Loonee Tunes, Kamikazi Thunderkats, Area 7 and more!

We’ll also be going back to the roots and playing some Jamaican Ska from the 50s and 60s, as well as two tone Ska from 80s England.

Ska’d for Life with stand-up comedian Helene Murray

This Friday on Ska’d for Life, Belle will be joined by stand-up comedian Helene Murray of Southern FM’s ‘Funny is the Apple’ (Fridays 2-3pm) – it will be a lesson in Ska (newbie alert!) featuring classic, sexist, hilarious and Aussie Ska tunes, as well as guaranteed laughs.

NEW – gig guide at 7 pm – letting you know where the skank is at around Melbourne for the coming weekend! The long anticipated lineup for the years biggest Ska event, Ska Nation, has been announced and we’ll be sure to play songs by this years stunning ensemble of bands.

We’ll look at the transition from traditional Ska to Ska-Punk, how it has changed in the last decade, and where it’s heading in the future.
