On the 6th November Astrohym joined us in the studio. The Melbourne alternative/indy rock band set us straight on what they were all about with a grand hour of live tracks. With a new guitarist on board it did not take long for them to gel and we got a smashing set out of them. Here, with a simple click of the play button you can hear the entire hour long live set.
Harry Coulson is a big man with a big talent. Intrigued? Take a listen to this podcast of his November 13th performance on the 88.3 LIVE SUNDAY SESSIONS. Harry and the lads turned it on for us for an hour in the studio and punched out a rich tapestry of tunes and were awarded the Nobel prize for interpretation of a Dylan song whilst located in Brighton. That was not all of course, they did manage a C.W.Stoneking cover and a bunch of original tunes as well. He is currently touring his latest release “Blue Dogs” and he gave us a very tasty degustation sampler of the album.

My Echo believe strongly in the live music scene and showcased their support on the 21st October when Brenton & Tom slipped by the SFM studio’s and gave us a great hour long live set toned down accoustic style. Listen to the full show right here and if you like what you hear get around the lads and get to their upcoming live show “Boys In Blue” single release show.

The dazzling and brilliant Safari Motel are this weeks exciting guests on the 88.3 LIVE SUNDAY SESSIONS. A little bit funk, a little bit blues and a whole heap of soul is what you’ll get as the popular south of town act bang out an hour of awesomeness live to air from what might be a chilly orange studio (don’t worry, they will quickly heat it up). Lead singer Nicole Nehemia always delivers a dynamic performance backed by her rhythm section Jason Nehill (bass) Taleb (drums), keys/hammond (Rowan Mumford) and guitarist Mark Evans.
On Sunday 14th August Carolyn swung down from the hills to give us a sublime Live Sunday Session for an hour. The honest songstress played a few oldies and gave us a preview of some brand new material as well in a stirring one hour set in the studio. Listen in here for a podcast of the entire hour and get yourself to a live gig soon.
