Daryl Braithwaite talks to Mark Copolov on Purple Haze – Podcast

One of the greats of the Australian music scene, Daryl Braithwaite, was kind enough to swing by the Southern FM studios recently where he talked about the old days and what he is up to at the moment. Braithwaite has forged a successful solo career after his work earlier with Sherbet. From 1974 through 1993 Braithwaite placed 15 solo hits in the Australian top 40. He was crowned King of Pop over three consecutive years from 1975 to 1977 as well as appearing in stage musicals such as Tommy and Chess. In 1988, Braithwaite recorded and released his comeback album “Edge”. This LP spawned four hit singles. He is still actively performing in unison with some other Oz legends.    www.darylbraithwaite.com.au

“Was great to listen to Dazza. Am a huge Sherbet fan and have always regarded Daryl as having one of the finest natural singing voices in this country.” – Sue.M – listener
