Songs that were banned on Radio Ga Ga
This Saturday betwen 10am & noon on Radio Ga Ga we are taking a look and a listen to the songs that for a variety of reasons were banned from being played on one form of media or another. The ABC, BBC, MTV, ITV, 3XY, even 92.3 EON FM possibly and others all decided they had cause to ban certain songs from airplay, many songs were banned after S11, not because there was anything lewd, rude and ugly about them but because they might have affected the sensitive mood of society at the time. We are not giving anything away this week, you will just have to listen in and hear the tunes we picked to be played as representative of the “bad boys” of music through various eras of music.
